When You Need a Hand, Open Arms Can Help

We all need a little help sometimes. That's why we're here—to get you through life's hard times. When you come to Open Arms, we'll do everything we can to keep your short-lived hardship from becoming a way of life.

Get assistance in 2 simple steps

1. Get your Neighborhood Assistance Service card.

Before we can help, you'll need an approved identification card from Gilbert's Neighborhood Assistance Service Program (NAS). To get your NAS card, you'll need to go to the office and fill out an application. You will also need to provide documents (listed on the application) proving that you're eligible to receive help. Your card will be valid for 6 months.

The Gilbert NAS office is located inside the Heritage Center at:

132 W. Bruce Ave.
Gilbert, AZ 85233

2. Visit us.

Once you're approved by Gilbert NAS, you can come to Open Arms:

  • Once a month for food

  • Once a month for clothing

When you arrive, we will:

  1. Review your card to make sure you're eligible.

  2. Put together a food box based on the size of your family. This will take about 5-10 minutes. If you need clothes, you can shop in the clothing closet while we put your food box together.

  3. Deliver the food and clothes to your car.
